How the training works Learn by doing. Not by watching.

  • A fully functional lift is permanently installed inside the institute specifically for student training.
  • Students work through complete assembly guide rails, car sling, roping, cabin, electrical wiring.
  • Every student dismantles and reinstalls the system not once but twice during the programme.
  • Maintenance and fault-finding exercises are carried out on this live system throughout the course.
  • Training sessions inside Infra Elevators' active manufacturing facility in Cherthala, Alappuzha.
  • Students observe and participate in fabrication, cabin fitting, and quality checks.
  • Worksite visits with Infra engineers during actual lift installation projects.
  • Live maintenance and service call accompaniment seeing real faults, real fixes, real timelines.
  • This is not a module exercise. Every student in the programme physically assembles and dismantles a full elevator system during their training. This is what separates an IILT graduate from a candidate who only studied lift engineering they have done it with their hands, under supervision, on real equipment. Twice. Employers notice that difference immediately.

How The Programme Is Delivered

Classroom Sessions

Theory, drawing reading, regulations, and system knowledge delivered by Infra Elevators engineers.

In-Institute Practical

Hands-on work on a dedicated training lift installed inside the institute. Full installation, dismantling, and maintenance.

Factory Training

Sessions inside Infra Elevators' Cherthala manufacturing facility production, fabrication, and assembly processes.

Field / Worksite Visits

Accompanying Infra engineers on live installation and service jobs real sites, real systems, real exposure.

Who Teaches You Trained by the people who build them

Every instructor at IILT is an active engineer from Infra Elevators India Pvt Ltd. These are not career trainers hired to deliver a curriculum they are professionals who design, install, commission, and service lift systems for a living.

When a session covers fault diagnosis, the instructor has diagnosed real faults. When installation procedure is being taught, the instructor has done that installation in a hospital, a hotel, a housing project. The teaching is grounded in practice because the teachers are still practitioners.

This is what makes the difference between knowing what a guide rail is and knowing how to align one correctly on an uneven shaft under time pressure. One comes from a textbook. The other comes from years of doing the work.

Career outcomes

What happens after you graduate

The elevator industry is growing faster than the supply of qualified technicians. India is the world's second-largest elevator market, adding thousands of new systems every year. The Gulf is actively recruiting trained professionals, often at salaries three to five times the domestic rate. IILT graduates are positioned for both.
